I have problems with my husband and my Windows XP. After being on the laptop for about half an hour or a few hours, I cannot open the added IE windows. When displaying system events, I get a preview message:
“An error has occurred in DCOM” The service cannot be started either because it is disabled or because it does not have an enabled device assigned to it. “tries to start the ImapiService service, which suffers from” -Service “arguments, to feed to the server:
I found an understanding of this event in other forums in the Microsoft Help Center answer as follows.
================================================== = =
Symbolic name: EVENT_RPCSS_START_SERVICE_FAILURE
Message: DCOM received error ‘%%% 1’ when trying to start service% 2 with arguments ‘% 3’ to use the server:

Explanation
The Component Object Model (COM) infrastructure was unlikely to run the Windows NT service mentioned.

Check Windows error code with the message that appearsI am. If the error indicates that the system is out of memory, save your work, close other programs, and then try restarting the service. You can also increase the amount of RAM installed through your computer.
If the message indicates a system, server, or configuration error, contact your service provider for assistance.
Using Regedit, navigate to the next registry value
HKLM System CurrentControlSet Services Service Name
The service name is the information displayed in the message.
In Lite on the right, double-click ImagePath.
The “Edit Channel” dialog box will open. Leave the dialog box for this general field open. If you only see Svchost.exe in the Value field, then the data under the service name will usually go to the Options folder and then double-click ServiceDll.
Click Start, then click My Computer.
Use the information displayed in the main Value data field of the Edit String dialog box to help you navigate the program.
Right-click the name of the program, in this case Properties.
Dialogue will openthe new Program Collection Properties window.

Most likely you can also find the path to our executable in this tool.Service
name is ImapiService, path should be C: windows system32 imapi.exe and it is MS Corporation. I don’t know what the problem is often. Is this a tracking issue or a COM issue? How can I fix this?
Anyway, I cannot save the HijackThis log file, and the startup list cannot be displayed when I press Ctrl + Alt + Del because IE cannot open, but I think I have a file, completely blank log after reboot. I guess the sponsored viruses are not the problem.
