Example 3-6 shows a ppp debug negotiation statement in a normal negotiation where peers negotiate NCP parameters. In this case, the protocol types proposed and recognized are IPv4 and hence IPv6. The debug ppp negotiation command allows some network administrators to view the PPP negotiation, determine the transactions, the problem and stage at which the error occurs, and even develop a solution. The output mixes LCP negotiation and authentication, NCP negotiation.
